Friday, May 6, 1983, DAISY MAE POUNDS RODGERS,
Mrs. Daisy M. Rodgers, 81, of 130 W. Vineyard Road, died Thursday
afternoon at the Griffin-Spalding Hospital.
Mrs. Rodgers was the widow of Mr. John Rodgers and was a member of the Vineyard
Baptist Church. She was employed by Dundee Mills for 58 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Starr of Griffin; two sisters, Mrs.
Jewel Carr and Mrs. Minnie Timmons of Griffin; four brothers, James Pounds of
Columbus, Johnny Pounds of Kingsland, GA, Kit Pounds and Talmadge Pounds, both
of Griffin; six grand children; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 P. M. in the chapel of Pittman Rawls
Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Ivey and the Rev. George Pinson will officiate.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family this evening from 7-9 o'clock at the funeral home.
