BORING - MRS. MARY RODERICK, 71, wife of Almer Boring, Rt. 2, Riceville, Renn., died unexpectedly Wednesday in an Athens, Tenn. hospital. She had cooked at Hillsview Grammar School for several years. A McMinn County, Tennessee native; she was the daughter of the late David and Ida Lee Grant Roderick. She was a member of the Short Creek Baptist Church. Survivors are husband; four sons, Robert Thomas Boring, Atlanta; Dr. William David Boring, Riceville; Col. Landin F. Boring, Cookeville, Tenn.; Dr. James H. Boring, Memphis; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Bacon, Riceville, Mrs. Wesley Walker, Huntsville, Ala.; four brothers, Gus and A.M. Roderick, both of Chattanooga; David F. and Nepp Roderick, both of Athens. Funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. in Short Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Omar Plank officiating. Burial in church cemetery. Ziegler Funeral Home, Athens, in charge.
