PHILAMINE T. (ROCK) COOLUM, 73, died peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, with her family at her side at
the home of her son, Hector in St. Albans.

She was born in St. Albans Oct. 12, 1927, daughter of the late Hector and Rose (Martin) Rock.

June 22, 1948 she married Edwin Coolum. Mr. Coolum died Sept. 21, 1981.

She had been employed at Union Carbide Consumer Products and Milton-Bradley {Spartans). She was a member of St. Luke's Church and a former member of the Fletcher Grange.

Her survivors include her eight children and their spouses and grandchildren, daughter Carol Francis and her fiance David Westbrook of Morrisville, Christa Francis, son Wayne and Marchia Coolum, Amy Coolum of Cambridge, son James and Sheila, Jared and Tori Coolum of Hyde Park, daughter Linda and David Ainsworth, Heather Mansfield, Jacob and Joseph Ainsworth of Fletcher, son Hector and Roxanne Coolum, Chad Swann, Michaela Bigelow, Ashley; Travis and Adam Coolum of St. Albans, son Peter and Lisa Coolum, Ryan and Samantha Coolum of Fairfax, daughter Lisa and Jeff Kuhns, Casey; Curtis and Kaylyn Kuhns of Johnson, daughter Lynn and Richard Gould, Brian and Erica Gould of Fletcher, three great grandchildren, sisters Catherine and Ernest Sweet of Fletcher, Rita Wade of Highgate, and brother Arthur and Angela Rock of St. Albans, brothers-in-law Frederick Harnois of Agawam, Mass., Roswell Evans of St. Albans, sister-in-law, Agnes and Francis Favereau, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Clara Evans, Angeline Cadieux, Celine Parrot, Gertrude Harnois and brother, Leonard Rock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church, St. Albans. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 So. Main St., St. Albans from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Coolum family lot in Binghamville Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.
