Cora Samantha Robinson was born 26 May 1913 in Spiro, Leflore, Oklahoma, USA, the daughter of John Elven Robinson (1878-1972) and Myrtle Edola Phillips Robinson (1889-1966). Siblings: Irland Monroe Robinson (1907-1966), Ruby Robinson (1909-1918) and James Elven Robinson Jr. (1918-1918). At the age of 18 years, she married Fred E. Ellis on 3 Nov 1931 in Cordell, Washita, Oklahoma and they became the parents of two daughters Joan Ellis and Mary Kathryne Ellis. Cora and Fred were divorced and Cora later married Louis Henry Bettiga (1916-1980). Cora was a homemaker and besides her family, she loved gardening, flowers, and dolls. She was 94 years of age when she passed away on Thursday, 3 April 2008 in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, California. She was buried in Cayucos-Morro Bay District Cemetery in Cayucos, San Luis Obispo California, USA. She was survived by her two daughters; Joan White Parmenter and Mary Kathryne Carter, five grandchildren; Patsy Hayes Eagle, Francee Rios, Kenneth "Bud" Hayes, Connie Shellooe, and Jeff White, 11 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
