Mae Beatrice Robinson Butler, a retired nanny, died Saturday of breast cancer at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 56. Mrs. Butler was born in New Orleans and lived in Kenner for the past 25 years. She was a graduate of St. Helena High School and had received a nursing aide certificate. She was a former employee of Chateau Living Center. She was a member of Berean Christian Fellowship Church. Survivors include five sons, Joe Anthony Robinson, and Gilbert, Miguel, Raynell and James Butler; a stepdaughter, Lisa Butler; a brother, Cleon Melton; five sisters, Barbara King, Jacquelyn Nora, Lorraine Fields, Denise Thornton and Vallairie Myles; and a grandchild. A funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Berean Christian Fellowship Church, 101 Emerson Drive, Kenner. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Turner Chapel Cemetery, Greensburg. MJR Friendly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
