Dorothy Lee Robinson was born on 13 October, 1930 in the DeSoto Parish in Louisiana to John Lee Robinson (b.1902) and Arvilla née Yarbrough Robinson (1903 - 1964)
Dorothy's father's Draft Registration Card, with her mother as closest family, states that he was born 6 June 1902 in Bastrop, Morehouse County, Louisiana. We also see Mrs Robinson's name on at least one other card - her son, Dorothy's brother Albert.
During the recording of the 1940 Census, the Robinson family lived in DeSoto, Louisiana. Albert, at 14 was the eldest child, followed by son Cortes, age 12; Dorothy Lee was 9 and Norrie, age 6. Later records show "Cortes" is Curtis, and "Norrie" is Norris.
We know that Dorothy was a wife and mother, but sources after 1940 are sometimes difficult to find, so fortunately there is more information in Mrs. Abraham's Obituary, which was previously added below.
