Roza J. Hurd
Mrs. Roza J. Hurd, age 87, died Tuesday, May 11, 1947, after a long illness at the home of her son, Dr. M.C. Hurd, Punxsautawney, Pa. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J.O.L. Sprackin from the Chappell and Stout Funeral Home Tuesday, May 13, 1947. Interment was made in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clio.
Mrs. Hurd and her husband, the late J.W. Hurd, owned and operated a general store and millinery shop in Clio where they made their home for many years. Mrs. Hurd had made her home with her son, Dr. Hurd, in Pennsylvania for the past few years.
She was a member of the O.E.S., and the Macabees.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. M.C. Hurd of Punxsautawney, Pa. and Dr. Thurston Hurd of Niles, Michigan, four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She married John W. Hurd on 01 Jan 1884 in Genesee County, Mich. Daughter of John Robinson and Wealthy Hatch.
