Ardmore, OK — Funeral services for Charles Edward Baby Robinson, 67, will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Betty Hester, pastor of Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church of God. Burial will be in the Cheek Cemetery, south of Lone Grove with military honors from Fort Sill, Okla.

Born to J. F. and Lizzie Bell Stone Robinson February 15, 1943, at De Queen, Arkansas, Charles died in the Veterans Center at Ardmore, Oklahoma, March 18, 2010.

Charles and family moved to Ardmore when he was 12 years old from Arkansas. He had served in the U. S. Army during the Desert Shield, Desert Storm and in southwest Asia. He had advanced to the rank of Sergeant and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Marksman Badge, the Army Service Ribbon, Driver and Mechanic badge, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars. He completed his military career and was honorably separated from service in 1992.

A member of a cooking club, Charles liked to fish and especially loved his 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include daughters, Charlesann Robinson and Keenan Gray and Cynthia and Harvey Boulware, and Tina Alexander; sons, Terry Robinson, Jerame and Michelle Robinson; grandchildren, April Hodges, Seth Robbins, James and Heather Bernard, Kayla Robinson, Dylan, Emily and Mary Boulware, Colton Robinson, Sierra, Tray and Charles Gray; four great grandchildren; brothers, Robert Robinson and James "Archie" Robinson; a sister, Patricia Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents; five sisters, Margaret Wicker, Katie Hurst, Mary Moore, Alta Carter and Audrey Malone; three brothers, Albert, George and Frank Robinson preceded him in death.

Serving as bearers will be Harvey Boulware, Dylan Boulware, Keenan Gray, Johnny Robinson, Herbert Gray and Farrin Robinson.
