Linda Darlene Robinson Bankson Begley, 66, went to be with her Heavenly Father, September 10, 2011, after a courageous ten-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
She was born to N. Charlene and Lemuel G. Robinson on October 16, 1944 in Anderson, Indiana.
Linda graduated from Pendleton High School and attended Indiana University. After college she moved to San Francisco and Los Angeles. She lived in California for eight years before returning to Pendleton to be with her family.
Family was very important to her, and she loved hosting family events and gatherings to celebrate milestones and special occasions.
Linda was employed as an Account Executive for The Travelers Insurance Company before she retired in 1995.
She then pursued her passion for travel and photography. She traveled extensively throughout Europe with her husband, her daughter and son-in-law.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory; husband, Dr. Robert Begley of Pendleton; daughter, Devon Davies, her husband, Jeremy and grandson, Tate of Brooklyn, New York; brothers, Michael Robinson, Dennis Robinson and wife, Leila of Pendleton; and several beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many dear friends. Also surviving are step-mother, LaVaughn Robinson; step-brothers, Steven and Jeffrey Miller, wife, Ruth all of Pendleton; stepsons, Dr. Jeffrey Begley of Los Angeles; Brian Begley and wife, Brenda of Highland, Michigan; Dr. Benjamin Begley of Springfield, Illinois; step-daughters, Dr. Diane Begley of Lafayette, Kerri Begley of Pendleton, Beverly Begley of Georgetown, Indiana; and ten step-grandchildren; Brandi, Stephanie, Aaron, Melanie, Monica, Gwendolyn, Elizabeth, Grace, Rowan and Alex; step-sisters-in-law, Shirley Begley of Altadena, CA; and Barbara Begley Furst and husband, John of Elizabethon, Tennessee.
Linda attended Madison Park Church of God. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and maternal grandparents, Eunice and Charles Michael; and paternal grandparents, Katherine and Jonas Robinson; step-sister, Peggy Cribb; and step-brother-in-law, Richard Begley.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, Indiana.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Swartz officiating.
Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton, Indiana.
