ALEXANDRIA — Mary Lee Hurst, 70, died March 29, 2008, unexpectedly, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 5, 1937, in Noblesville, the daughter of Noble H. and Dorotha (Moore) Robinson. She had resided in Alexandria since 1979.
Mary Lee had worked for Western-Electric in Indianapolis for 20 years. More recently she had been a bartender at the Alexandria Eagles Lodge. She was a former member of the Alexandria Eagles Auxiliary.
Mary Lee was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her warm smile.
Survivors include two sons, Keith (Chris) Lynch of Anderson and Dale (Gloria) Lynch of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Cheryl (Tony) Kettery of Alexandria and Patricia Sinnott of Anderson; 11 grandchildren, Daniel (Brenda) Lynch and R. J. (companion, Trina) Lynch of Katy, Texas, Nathan Statzer of Fishers, Joshua Lynch of Indianapolis, Teretha (Harold) Edwards, Justine Sinnott and Dale Sinnott, all of Millinocket, Maine, Amanda Kilgore and Samantha Kilgore, both of Anderson, and Sean Kilgore and Andrea Kilgore, both of Alexandria; four great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Noble H. "Bob" and Dorothy (Moore) Robinson; her husband, Richard "Dick" Hurst, who died in 1997; a grandson, Jordan Lynch, in 2006; and two brothers, Donald Robinson and Robert Robinson.
Friends and family are invited to share in a Celebration of Life graveside service at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria, officiated by Mike Owens.
Memorial contributions may be made, through the funeral home, to the Alexandria Fire Department's Emergency Ambulance Fund.
