He was born in Waterbury, December 10, 1915, a son of the late William and Belle Slocum Robillard and was honorably discharged from the US Army. He was a hard worker for many years at Wallace Silversmiths and later at several schools of the Wallingford Board of Education as a Custodian until his retirement while working at Yalesville School. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and playing bingo. Roby loved to tell jokes and was an avid UCONN Basketball and Boston Red Sox Fan.
In addition to his wife Ella, he is survived by his beloved sons, Donald Robillard Jr., Michael Robillard; his loving daughter Donna; six grandchildren.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Monday March 21, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 7 p.m. Interment in In Memoriam Cemetery will be private.
