JUANITA ROBERTSON HANCOCK, 89 passed away October 23,2008 after a long illness. She was born and raised in Waller, Texas, by her parents Ruby Heard Robertson and Edward Austin Robertson. Mrs.Hancock moved to Houston in 1937 to study and graduate from Massey Business College. In 1940 she and Thomas Hope Hancock (deceased) married at St. Marks Methodist Church. Mrs. Hancockwas employed by the Houston Independent School District for over 38 years and was secretary at Edison,McReynolds,and Patrick Henry Jr. High Schools. She is survived by her son Marvin Hancock, Naples, Florida; nieces Elaine Bailey, Corpus Christi; and Carolyn Coker, nephews Don Hancock, Dallas, Bill Hancock, Stamford, Connecticut; and Dawson Hancock, Charlotte, North Carolina; and all their familes. Mrs. Hancock attended First United Methodist Church from 1937 to present, and had also attended several neighborhood Methodist churches. Vistitation was held at Forest Park Lawndale on Saturday,October 25, 2008 from 3pm-6pm. Services were held on Sunday October 26, 2008 at Forest Park Lawndale's Chapel of Angels at 2:30pm.
