Nancy Jeanne Roberts Barnes, 67, Peachtree City, Georgia, died November 28, 2001. She was born April 9, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Harold and Mabel Roberts. She was graduated from Kent State University where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She later did post graduate work at the University of Wisconsin, worked for a short time as a teacher in Cleveland, OH, and then became a fulltime housewife and mother. She enjoyed being active in her church and tennis leagues until injuries caused her to slow down her activities.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Ed Barnes; children, Susan (Donald) Perry, Acworth, GA, Matthew (Jane) Barnes, Waycross, GA, Beth (Perry) Boron, Pine Mountain, GA, and Steve (Kari) Barnes, Dalton, GA; seven grandchildren; brother, Tom (Freeda) Roberts, Uniontown, OH; and a sister, Laura (Ted) Root, Stow, OH.
Memorial services were at St. Andrew's in-the-Pines Episcopal Church, Peachtree City. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
