Kay R. Blocker (nee Anna Katherine Roberts) passed this 2nd day of April, 2012 at Regent Care Center in San Marcos, Texas. She is survived by her beloved husband William P. Blocker, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.P., whom she married June 12, 1944; her only child William P. Blocker, III, his wife Patricia and their children Michael Rye and Andrea Rye-Bibby . Born June 15, 1920 to humble beginnings, she always strove to improve herself while caring for and protecting those she loved. Her devotion to her husband, son, and love of her married family has been best described by the first cousin V.H. (Vinks) Blocker as the "The Best Blocker".
Kay will be cremated at her request, with no viewing as she wished to be remembered as a strong, vibrant, and even fiery woman. Her ashes will eventually be interred with her beloved husband. A celebration of Kay's life will be held at a later date.
