Holtzendorf-Roberts
Mr. A. M. Holzendorf, of Stockton, and Miss Lula Roberts, of Mayday, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony on Aug. 27th.
Mr. Holzendorf is a shrewd and energetic merchant of Stockton, with many friends
Mrs. Holzendorf is an accomplished and charming young lady with many noble traits of character.
The marriage was quite a romantic affair, as they were out driving in the afternoon, and on meeting Rev. B. G. Prickette, of Statenville, he was asked to perform the ceremony. Having done so, he was requested to keep it a secret, which was faithfully done until the fourth Sunday in September when, to the surprise of his many friends, Mr. Holzendorf brought his beautiful bride home.
They are now residing with his mother, Mrs. R. S. Holzendorf, of Stockton.
