Lucille Robert Fripp, 86, died peacefully in her Charlottesville home on Monday, December, 19, 2011, surrounded by her loved ones after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Lucille was born on September 6, 1925, in Savannah, Georgia, to Rollin Mallory and Mary Moody Robert. Lucille was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Lewis M. Fripp, for 67 years.
In addition to her husband, Lucille leaves behind her daughter, Linda Fripp Dixon and her husband, Jerry, of Charlottesville; her son, Lewis M. Fripp Jr. of South Carolina; her grandson, Erik C. White and his wife, Rebecca; Grace, her beloved great- granddaughter of Charlottesville; sister-in-law, Ruby Fripp Wegener, and niece, Barbara Judy of Savannah, Georgia. Lucille was a dedicated mother and her children were everything to her. She had many friends and will be sorely missed.
The family received friends at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home Thursday, December 22, 2011. Burial was held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery. The family gave thanks to Martha Jefferson Hospital and the Home Care Nurses of Sentara and especially her loving husband Lewis, for their gentle loving care in Lucille's journey to peace.
