Ivah Roberson Conley, 2703 W. Walnut Street, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was a Unicoi County native, but had lived in Johnson City, TN most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William Ervin and Estella Clouse Roberson.

Ivah was a member of Central Baptist Church, Johnson City and an active Southern Baptist member for many years. She had taught adult Sunday School , Vacation Bible School, worked in a church library and sang in church choirs for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Conley in 1993 and six sisters.

She was survived by one son, Robert Ivan Conley, Johnson City; one brother, William E. Roberson and his wife, Mary Nell, Jonesborough and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Ivah R. Conley will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2006 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. Reverend R. Willard Warfield will officiate. Music will be provided by Mrs. Nancy Beach. Burial will follow in Monte Vista Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to their favorite charities. The family expresses a special thanks, for their excellent care of Ivah, to the staffs of the 5400 Wing of the Johnson City Medical Center and the Princeton Transitional Care Unit of Northside Hospital.
