Minnie L. Evans, 94, died July 3, 2004, at Geary Community Hospital, Junction City.

She was born August 4, 1909, at Partridge, the daughter of William D. and Lottie Haller Roberson. She had taught special needs education in rural Reno County and Wichita, and was a lifetime resident of Hutchinson until moving to Junction City in 1988.

She belonged to Community Church of the Brethren, Hutchinson.

On June 16, 1935, she married Fred H. Evans at rural Haven. He died September 13, 1989.

Survivors include: a son, Murriel Dee, Indio, Calif.; two daughters, Delores Lakin, Milford, and Evelyn Belt, Hutchinson; a brother, Thomas Roberson, Hutchinson, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2pm, Monday, at Community Church of the Brethren, Hutchinson, with minsters Paul Hoffman and Judson Hornbaker presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 6pm Sunday, at Buhler Mortuary, Buhler. The family will greet friends from 12:30 to 1:30pm Monday at the church. Burial will be in Darlow Cemetery, rural Pretty Prairie.

At the funeral the music was "How Great Thou Art" and "One Day At a Time." Joanna Hoffman was the organist, and Robert Calhoun the soloist. The pallbearers were Richard Belt, Roger Belt, Jay Lakin, Larry Vallon, Todd Lakin, Corby Hibbs, Michael Evans, and George Emery.
