He served as a pilot during World War II, the Berlin Airlift and in the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a lieutenant colonel in 1960. Following his Air Force career, he returned to the family farm in Rondo, where he lived until moving to Fayetteville in 1992. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rubye Robards; one daughter, one son, two brothers, one sister, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was 85 when he passed away in Fayetteville, AR. I have a copy of hie obit from The Morning News.
