Ollen B . Roach, 80, died Tuesday July 26, 2005 in San Diego, CA. He was born in Kentucky in 1924. He graduated from high school in Glenolden, Pennsylvania, in 1942.
His wife of 58 years, Rose Marie Roach, preceded him in death in 2004.
He is survived by his two children, Thomas M. Roach of San Diego, and Olinda Martin of Spokane, Washington.
He had lived in Oceanside for 25 years after retiring from real estate in Vista. He owned Ollen B. Roach Realty. He was an active member of the Vista Rotary Club for many years, was a Planning Commissioner for the City of Vista, and served as president of the Vista Board of Realtors in 1969.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He worked in the postal service in Inglewood, CA and as a police officer in El Segundo, CA, prior to moving to Vista. He was a long standing member of the El Segundo Masonic Lodge.
A graveside service will be held at Eternal Hills, Tuesday, August 2, 2005, 10:30am.
