Frances Patricia Alloway 91, Indianapolis, died May 5, 2009 in Golden Healthcare, where she has lived for the past six years. She had congestive heart problems. Born to Roger A. and Ruby Messersmith Risley on August 24, 1917, she attended School 80 and graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1936. She grew up in Broad Ripple during the Depression and could hear the lions roar in the amusement park. She married Warder Alloway on January 14, 1944, he preceded her in death along with two brothers, Richard and James. She leaves her sisters, Eloise Maners, Helen Lee and brother, Joe Risley. Pat has three children, Robert and Susan of Indianapolis, Tom of Columbus, Ohio and seven grandchildren. She was a homemaker. She researched her family genealogy for 40 years and developed the hobby from her fathers work in it. She attended 44th and Carrollton Evangelical and Reformed Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She belonged to the B.R.H.S. Alumni and The Society of Indiana Pioneers.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Lawrence.
