She was born Feb. 20, 1898, in St. Peters, Franklin County, one of five children of John and Rose Bischoff Ripperger. On January 22, 1919, she was married to Julius D. Risch of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and they had farmed in Franklin County until moving to Wayne in 1925. Mr. Risch retired from farming in 1946 and they came to Connersville for residence that year. In 1960 they moved to Florida, returning to Connersville in 1978.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Rita) Halveland of Connersville, Mrs. Edwin (Betty) Pflum of Brookville, and Mrs. Gilbert (Rosemary) Brown of Indianapolis; a son Wilbur Risch of Hagerstown; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Ripperger of St. Peters and Joe Ripperger of Peppertown; and a number of nieces and nephews. her husband died November 1, 1976, and a brother, a sister, and two grandchildren also precede her in death.
The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Gabriel Church.
