Ida G. "Jerri" Bolinger, 68, of rural Parsons died at 4:40 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at her home. She had been in failing health.
She was born Feb. 27, 1940, at Dennis to Delbert Earl and Helen Maydene (Carson) Ringle. In her early years she lived in Dennis, St. Paul and Parsons. She attended rural schools and graduated from Parsons High School in 1957.
She had been employed at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center, the Parsons Middle School and Parsons High School. She was a member of the Parsons Foursquare Church and she loved doing genealogy.
In 1957 she married John Shields Sr. Later they divorced. She married George Bolinger on July 26, 1971, at Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include three sons, John Shields Jr. and his wife, Laura, of Hephzibah, Ga., Daniel Bolinger of Parsons and Brian Bolinger of Galesburg; a daughter, Becky Hinecker and her husband, Bruce, of Richmond, Mo.; nine grandchildren, Shanda Jarman of Overland Park, Stephanie Hinecker of Richmond, Mo., Silver Garrabrant of Florida, Scott Shields of Atlanta, Micheal Bolinger, Amanda Bolinger, Caleb Bolinger, Bryan Bolinger and Macky Bolinger, all of Parsons; three brothers, Dale Ringle, Don Ringle and his wife, Erma, and Dwayne Ringle and his wife, Wanda, all of Parsons; and two sisters, Cathryn Hale and her husband, Sterlin, of Parsons and Linda Hedrick and her husband, Dave, of Altamont.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Ringle.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home with the Revs. Irvin and Florence Espeseth and Bill Hale officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
