ALICE A. RINELLA Entered peacefully into rest at Kaiser Hospital in Redwood City on February 18, 2007. She was 83 years old. Born in Alameda on March 10, 1923, Alice was a resident of San Lorenzo for over 30 years and a recent resident of Casa Sandoval in Hayward. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joachim's Catholic Church. Alice was active in the San Lorenzo Sociables and a longtime supporter of the Lorenzo Theater Foundation. Alice was a loving mother and friend to many and will be deeply missed. While she now joins her husband, Frank, she is survived by children, Gary Rinella, Diane Rinella; son-in-law, Brian Preston; godsons, Tony Rinella and Perry Logan and many nieces and nephews and numerous extended family who she loved as her own children. Visitation for Alice will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. The vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. that evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joachim's Catholic Church, 21250 Hesperian Blvd., Hayward. Alice will be laid to rest at St. Joseph's Cemetery in San Pablo. A Celebration of her life at Casa Sandoval will follow the burial. Those who wish to do something in her memory are encouraged to grab a partner (or not) and dance. Music is not required.
