Mary Elizabeth Auten
Mary Elizabeth Auten, 82, died May 20, 2008, at Franklin United Methodist Community. She was a resident of Franklin.
Mary was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Farmersburg to Talmai and Lottie (White) Rinehart. She was a former resident of Buckeye, Ariz. While living in Buckeye, Mary was a member of the Buckeye Church of Christ. Mary was a receptionist and secretary for Bechtel Construction for 20 years.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Auten of Las Vegas; a stepson, Jack T. Auten of Las Vegas; two sisters, Karen Sue Ford of Indianapolis and Iva Anderson of Texarkana, Ark.; four brothers, Victor Rinehart of New Whiteland, Joe Rinehart of Sullivan, Clyde Rinehart of Englewood, Fla., and Ivan Rex Rinehart of Cornelieus, Ore.; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Clara Auten and two brothers, Ben and Sam Rinehart.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
