KATHERINE JEAN ABELL, 77, TEACHER, NURSE
Katherine Jean Abell, 77, of 830 N. Duke St., died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at home. Death was due to natural causes.
Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Galen and Eliza Maude Sullenberger Rineer.
A graduate of the former Millersville State College, now Millersville University, she received her master's degree from Penn State University.
She taught school in several local districts, retiring in 1984. She also worked as a licensed practical nurse.
She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Post 185, Mount Joy, and was a former director of the Alpha Club of Lancaster and the former Osteopathic Hospital Guild.
