Virginia Alice Riggs Bradley, 84, of Chattanooga, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at a nursing home in Chattanooga.

Mrs. Bradley was a former resident of Oak Ridge. A registered nurse, she was retired from Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, where she had worked for approximately 30 years.

She served during World War II as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nursing Corps.

She was the widow of Charles A. Bradley. She was a Methodist.

Mrs. Bradley is survived by her son, Robert Charles Bradley and his wife, Dianne H. Bradley, of Chattanooga; and by her grandson, Jason Robert Bradley, also of Chattanooga.

Her brother, Lee Riggs, died earlier.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home is handling arrangements. No formal visitation will be held.
