OLEAN - Olive A. Brown (Riggs),95, currently of Fillmore, NY died suddenly Sunday June 14, 2003 at the Olean General Hospital.
Born January 23, 1908 in Cheektowaga, NY a daughter of Orma J. and Louise E. Schulz Riggs. On November 7, 1928 in Olean she married Russell J. Trail. They divorced in 1958 and he predeceased her on August 16, 1992. In 1958 in Alhambra, CA she married Melville H. Brown who predeceased her April 27, 1981.
She was employed at the Olean Tile plant for several years and later employed by Acme Electric in Allegany. She worked for many years as a registered practical nurse in Alhambra, CA prior to her retirement. She was great animal lover.
She is survived by a son Ronald L. (Gail) Trail of Fillmore, NY; two daughters, Barbara L. Trail of Pasadena, CA and Phyllis T. (Robert) Auman of Naples, FL; one brother, Charles A. (!LaRue) Riggs of Canon City, CO; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Esther Schott, Louise Bruner, Janet Staley, Alice Riggs and Norma Gabler; a brother James Riggs.
Burial and committal will follow at Allegany Cemetery.
