Leda Ovilla RigbyNielsen 3/11/10 ~ 1/29/03 ST. GEORGE, UT - Leda Ovilla Rigby Nielsen, 92, died January 29, 2003 at Kolob Care Center, in St. George, Utah. She was born March 11, 1910 in Fairview, UT to William E. and Mary M. Peterson Rigby, the third child of 11 children. She married A. Ray Nielsen April 30, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Survived by a daughter, Judith (Gary) Simister, St. George, UT; son, Barry (Donna) Nielsen, Silver City, NM; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Weldon Rigby, Salt Lake, Kyle Lamond Rigby, Brigham City; sister, Theora Gledhill, West Valley; and a much loved sister-in-law, Priel Anderson, Sandy, UT. She was preceded in death by her husband Dec 7, 1988; an infant son, Alan Ray; four sisters; and three brothers. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, love of playing Bingo, making ceramics, temple aprons, quilts, etc. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbors whose loving help made it possible for Mom to stay longer in her home. Also, a very special thanks to the staffs at Kolob Care Center, Dixie Regional Medical Center and Legacy House, all of St. George, and to her friends and staff at Barton Creek Assisted Living, Bountiful, UT where she lived for four years. Services will be Wed. Feb 5, 2003 11 a.m. Bountiful 25th Ward LDS Chapel, 1500 S. 600 E, Bountiful, UT. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N.
