Mary E. (Rieber) Mortis, age 84, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital.
Mrs. Mortis had been employed at Shane Uniform Company and was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Reitz High School and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Deniece Martin of Evansville; two sons, Curtis and Phillip Mortis, both of Evansville; a sister, Suzanne Kasinger of Evansville and two brothers, Thomas Rieber of Ft. Worth, TX and William Rieber of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Kristin Forrest, Paige, Bailey, Lee and Luke Mortis; one great grandchild, Paul Forrest, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She loved all of her family very much.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, of 52 years, Clarence Mortis in 1999.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Michael Stoelting officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
