Henry and Alta had six children: Lillian Mary (b. 1883), Ida Marie (b. Jan. 29, 1885), John Peter (b. Nov. 7, 1888), Sadie (b. 1892), Celia (b. 1894), Irene (b. Jan. 4, 1900. He died in Jan. 24, 1949 of cardio vascular disease arterio sclerosis and is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery. Alta, who died Sept. 7, 1940, also is at St. Joseph.

Henry Rieber, 87, died at 10:45 o'clock last night at his residence, 16 West Maryland street. He was a retired furniture worker and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Paul Walsh, Mrs. Frank Craddock and Mrs. William Schlusemeyer, all of Evansville; one son, John P. of Evansville; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
The body is at Ziemer funeral home.
