Horace F. Ridout passed away on Friday at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 7 days.
He was a native of Floresville, Texas, and formerly of San Antonio, Boerne, and Canyon Lake. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, and a 32nd Degree Mason belonging to the Canyon Lake Masonic Lodge AF&AM. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy as a chief petty officer.
Preceded in death by: parents, Horace J. and Verna Franklin Ridout; brother, Hugh Ridout; sister, Louise Stoeltje.
Survivors include: wife, Samie Rae Ridout; daughter, Verna Sue Hill (James); son, Robert Ridout (Carolyn); grandchildren Jim Hall, Allen and Amanda Moore, and Robert Ridout; great-great-grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Travis, and Samantha Allen
Funeral services: Sunday, Jan. 4 in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with the Rev. Andy Tyson officiating.
Pallbearers were Art Burnet, Bill Clay, Bill Sparks, Brian Moore, Bryan Sparks, and Sam Allen.
