Theola Ridgill Preyer, a homemaker, died Tuesday at an area hospital. She was 95.
A native of Burnt Corn, Preyer was a resident of Monroeville and lived most of her life in the Monroe County area.
She attended public schools in Conecuh County.
She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Monroeville, where whe was a former Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne P. Warren of Huntsville and Louise P. Mayhand of Monroeville; three sons, Prince Preyer Jr. of Huntsville, Willie Preyer of Charlotte, NC, and Johnny Preyer of Dallas, GA; one stepdaughter, Virgie Nettles of Daphne; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jones' Unity Funeral Home in Monroeville. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Morning Star Baptist Church in Monroeville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Press-Register 12/11/2009
