“Cenith Jane Blacketer, 94, Route 1, Kingman, died at 6:45 p.m. May 22, 1992, at Covington Manor Health Center. She was born August 25, 1897, at Fountain County, the daughter of William P. and Eveline Allen Ricketts. She was married to Pearly Hugh Blacketer, June 10, 1914. He preceded in death February 14, 1962.

She had been a life resident of Cates.

Surviving are: four great-nieces, Betty Keller, Covington; Mary Lyons, Hillsboro; Marie Butler, Tilton, Illinois; and Peggy Mitchell, Columbus. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Ellmore, and five sisters.

Graveside services were held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington, with Paul Kent officiating. Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, in charge of arrangements.” – Fountain County Neighbor, Attica, Indiana, May 27, 1992
