She was born June 27, 1940 to Jim and Alfreda Redding. She was the youngest of five children. She married Dan Richens June 5, 1957 in Vernal Utah. Marlene was the proud Mother of two, grandmother of five and great-grandmother of 12, all of Vernal Utah. She lived her entire life in the Ashley area.
Marlene loved to cook large meals for her family on weekends and holidays. Her pies and rolls were the best ever. She loved to go camping, hunting and fishing with her family. She enjoyed gardening and spent a lot of time in the yard. Knitting or crocheting were things she enjoyed most and she made all the kids sweaters, hats and mittens.
