Nancy E. (Richardson) Carr, a resident of Barnet, Vermont for 15 years and former 10 year resident of Tewksbury, Massachusetts and former 30 year resident of Melrose, Massachusetts, passed into eternal life on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, Vermont following an extended illness. She was 86 years old.
Nancy was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on September 1, 1925, a daughter of the late Laurence and Anne (Weed) Richardson. Nancy grew up in Concord, Massachusetts and attended the Concord Public School system and graduated from Concord High School. She also attended Westbrook Junior College in Maine for 2 years. Nancy worked as a self employed Title Examiner in Middlesex County for over 15 years. She was very involved in her children's activities while living in Melrose. She participated in the Melrose Girl Scouts and was a member of the Middlesex Girl Scout Council.

Nancy is the devoted mother of Patricia A. Blouin of Plaistow, New Hampshire, Francis H. Carr of Vienna, Virginia, Carolyn L. Bruckner of Barnet, Vermont, Cheryl M. Holt of Montpelier, Vermont and Gregory L. Carr of East Hampstead, New Hampshire. She is the loving Grandmother of 13 grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Barbara Keyes of Maine and Jane Pearson of Marshfield. She is the former wife of the late Francis H. Carr Jr. of Melrose.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Nancy on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 3 to 7 p.m. followed by her Funeral Service at 7 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Melrose, Massachusetts. Interment will be at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10 a.m.
