Caleb was the son of Rev. Zebediah and Rebeckah Snow Richardson. When he was about 5 years of age, he moved with his family to Maine where his father was the pastor of the Baptist Church in Fryeburg. He married Mehitable Danforth Osgood on September 2, 1809 in Fryeburg, Oxford, Maine. About 1815-1816, he and Mehitable with their three young children moved to Harmony, Venango County, Pennsylvania. He also lived in Hickory Township and later in life, he moved to Deerfield, now Tidioute, where he died at age 72y-10m-23d.
Caleb and Mehitable were the parents of: Susanna Osgood (1811-1888)married to James Anderson Middleton; John Osgood (1812-1900); David Nye (1815-1853); Cyrus Johnson (1816-1893); James Dawson (1820-1833); William Middleton (1823-1892); Caleb Snow (1827-1883) and Mehitable Ann (1829-1863)who was married to David Isaac Ball.
