Mary was born November 21, 1913 in Golden, KY, the daughter of Beverly Ewing and Ida Mae Mayes Richards.
Mary owned and operated a home laundry business for almost 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Edwin, William and Frank Richards.
She is survived by her daughter: Rebecca (husband, Walter) Woodhull of Springfield; two grandchildren: Deirdre (husband, Michael) Bunch of Rochester, Roger (wife, Lisa) Douglass of Springfield; four great grandchildren: Alexandria, Ian, Erica and Casey; three sisters-in-law: Margaret "Marge" Richards of Sherman, Lucille Richards of Maryville and Betty Richards of Carlyle and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Services will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, December 23, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola officiating. Cremation will be accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center following services. Burial will be at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
