CLARA MAE RICH BOWLING

KINSEY. . .Clara Mae Rich Bowling, a resident of Kinsey, died Sunday afternoon, October 10, 2010, in the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 12, 2010, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Jerome Harbert and Reverend James A. Rich officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A. M. Tuesday at the mortuary.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit of the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility, 212 Dothan Road, Abbeville, AL. 36310.

Mrs. Bowling was born and reared in Kinsey where she lived most of her lifetime. She was a member of the Rainbow Meadows Baptist Church. Mrs. Bowling was preceded in death by her parents, James J. Huey Rich and Alva Clemmons Rich, a granddaughter, Lora Ann Bowling, three sisters, Cula Mae Armstrong, Bertha Fletcher and Gladys Raley and two brothers, J. W. Rich and Dwight Rich.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Dwight Carl Bowling, Sr.; a daughter, Shelia Harbert and husband, Rev. Jerome Harbert, all of Kinsey; a son, Dwight Carl Bowling, Jr. and wife, Jean Bowling, Abbeville; two sisters, Alice Lewis; and Luverne Skipper and husband, Haywood Skipper, all of Kinsey; a brother, Ray Rich and wife, Genelle Rich, Eustis, FL; a sister-in-law, Katie Rich, Kinsey; two grandchildren, Jay Harbert and wife, Pam Harbert; Gennifer Alexander and husband, Joe Alexander; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Gary Harbert, Jay Harbert, Tim Carter, Raymond Killingsworth, Joe Alexander and Donnie Bowling.
