ADAMS, CORA LUCILLIE
Cora Lucille Adams, 79, a former Benton resident, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, 1999, in the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, with the Rev. Bert Mitchell officiating. There will be no visitation.
Those attending the service on Wednesday are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Adams was born on May 17, 1920, in benton, the daughter of Marshall and Winnie (Gargus) Rice. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West City. She is survived by two sons, Ray Adams and wife Pam of Herrin, Roy Adams and wife Gretchen of Cambria; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Dallape and husband Frank of Benton. She was preceded in death by her parents, by one brother, Earl Rice and by one sister, May Blair.
