Mrs. McDonnell was born on July 7, 1913, in Jacksonville, Florida a daughter of the late Charles Oscar and Rosalie McDonald Rice.
She was a housewife and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas H. McDonnell, Sr. and surviving is a son, Carl O. (Claudia) McDonnell, Harleyville; two daughters, Martha Lee Carew and Mary Lou (Hubert) Cockcroft, both of Dorchester; a sister, Ruby Louise Moore, Zellwood, Florida; grandchildren, Clay R. (Engele) Cockcroft, Jesse E. (Sheila) Cockcroft, both of Summerville, Forrest (Nikki) Cockcroft, Dorchester, Elizabeth Ann McDonnell, Niantic, Connecticut, Carl O. (Nicole) McDonnell, Holly Hill; great-grandchildren, Tommy McDonnell, Jr., Ovieda Diane Weir, Joshua Cockcroft, Meaghan Cockcroft, Jacob Cockcroft, Rebeccah Cockcroft, Jordan Cockcroft, Andrew Cockcroft, Garrison Cockcroft, Patrick T. McDonnell and Grayson R. McDonnell; three great-great grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
Burial was in Drawdy-Rouse Cemetery, Orlando Florida.
