Survivors include daughter, Kathleen DeAngelis, granddaughter, Jacqueline DeAngelis , and grandson, Dominick DeAngelis, all of Spring Hill, FL, and brother, Jim Collins of Homosassa, FL.
She retired in 2000 from Bellmore, NY where she worked as a project coordinator for Sciac Corporation of the New York Stock Exchange.
Patty always dreamed of being a professional dancer and fulfilled that dream in her later years by winning numerous competitions in ballroom dancing. She also enjoyed traveling in her motor home, following the dog show circuit with her champion Afghan Hound, "Just a True Gigolo". She was a member of the local Elks and Moose Clubs.
A Mass of Resurrection for Patty will be held 9:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church, Lecanto. Entombment will follow at Florida Hills Memorial Park, Spring Hill, Florida. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., Friday, December18, 2009 at the Homosassa Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes.
