"Mary Rice Campbell, 72, of 4406 Riverview Blvd., died Tuesday in her home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Christ Episcopal Church, with Rev. Fred T. Kyle Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Fogartyville Cemetery. Toale Brothers West Chapel, 4210 Manatee Ave. W., is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, she moved to the area from Wilmington, Ohio in 1930. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where she was active in Camaraderie and was church school treasurer for 17 years. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi soroity. She taught at Bradenton High School for several years and thereafter continued to take an active part in local school system activities and community affairs. She was a sustaining member of Service Club and a member and past president of Entre Nous.
Surviving are her husbvand, H. Lewis Campbell; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Smith of Mobile, Ala. and Mrs. Jenny Bowdish of Stuart; four grandchildren."
