She was the daughter of James C. Rice [died 1869] and Margaret J. Polson Rice. On December 27, 1882 as Sarah E. Rice, she married James F. Fiske [died 1894] at Columbia County, Oregon. They were the parents of Margaret and Rita who predeceased her. In 1917, she married William H. Donagh.
