LENTZ, Marie, longtime Tulsa resident, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the age of 98. Marie was born June 30, 1910 in Waldron, AR to Bud and Maggie (Payne) Rice. They moved to Okemah in a covered wagon. Marie graduated from Okemah High School. She attended nursing school at Morning Side Hospital. She married V. G. Lentz (Pude). He was a T.U. football player. They were married 75 years before his death in 2004. Marie was executive housekeeper at Hillcrest Hospital, Methodist Manor, and Hissom and retired at the age of 70. Survived by Nieces, Jacqueline Braselton and husband, Bill and Joy Welsh; great-nieces and nephews, Paul Heerwagen and wife, Robyn, Ann Thomas, Jan Heerwagen, Laura Heerwagen, Harmon Welsh and wife, Rhonda, Kelly Stokes and husband, Jeff; great-great-nieces and nephews, Paul and Callie Heerwagen, Brendan and Shyler O'Brien, Brittany Stokes, Maggie Welsh. Visitation 2-4 PM, Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Moore's Southlawn.
