NORTH -- SSG Allen L. Rice Sr., a resident of North, went to his eternal home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Born in Aiken County on July 2, 1953, he was the son of Roosevelt Rice Jr., and the late Maggie Evans Rice. Lindsay received his education in the public schools of Aiken County. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of services.

Lindsey was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend during his lifetime.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his loving and devoted father, Gerry Miller; brothers, Earl, Wiston and Brinson; grandchildren, aunt, uncle, father-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of devoted cousins and friends whose paths he crossed in his life span.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mark Methodist Church, North. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rice family will receive friends Saturday, July 31, 2010, from 3 to 8 p.m. at J.H. Robinson Funderal Home, 190 Railroad Ave. W., Wagener.
