Mrs. Barnett died Friday afternoon, March 28, in Panola General Hospital.
A homemaker, she was born Oct. 9, 1917, in Joaquin, and was the the daughter of W. K. and Ethel Powell Reynolds. She spent most of her early life in Shelby County, and married Thomas H. Barnett Dec. 21, 1934, in Logansport. A member of the Eastern Star, she moved to Carthage in 1972 from Karnes County, Texas, and was of the United Methodist faith.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael, in 1978. She is survived by her husband of Carthage; two daughters, Marylyn Drumgoole [sic Dromgoole] of Houston and Ann Droptini of Carthage, and two grandchildren, Mark Alan Drumgoole [sic Dromgoole] of Houston and Sean Thomas Droptini of Carthage.
