Susan 'Lucille' Bangert
Susan 'Lucille' Bangert, 74, of North Platte, NE, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at her home in North Platte.
Lucille was born June 30, 1937, to Clyde Wayne and Oma Oline Long Reynolds at Lexington, Missouri. She moved with her family and she attended several schools growing up with her last being North Platte High School. Lucille married William May in North Platte and they had one son. They later divorced. Lucille married Leo Eugene Bangert and they had one daughter. They moved to Kansas City, MO, for a while then returned to North Platte. Lucille went to Joseph's Beauty College in North Platte and became a licensed beautician. She worked for a couple of years before her health forced her to retire. Lucille loved attending church services and often times attended several different churches on the same day. She was an active member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making dolls and all types of crafts. Survivors include her son, William Wayne 'Bill' and wife, Terrie May, of Sterling, CO; one granddaughter, Tiffany and husband, Aaron Storch, of Sterling, CO; two great-granddaughters, Kaitlynn and Ashlynn Storch; step mother, Ruth Reynolds, of Maxwell, NE; two brothers, Glen Wayne Reynolds, of Texas and Michael Allen and wife, Patricia Reynolds, of Maxwell, NE; three sisters, Naomi Ruth Stout, of North Platte, NE, Nancy Oline and husband, Bill Closson, of Independence, MO, and Debra Harriet and husband, Robert Stewart, of Storm Lake, IA; many nieces, nephews and several other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo and her daughter, Anita Rose Bangert.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2011, at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore with Pastor Dennis Leitner of Calvary Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery south of Maxwell, NE. A memorial has been established for Calvary Assembly of God Church or Lincoln County Senior Center. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore. Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore in charge of arrangements.
