Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Elizabeth Burress, 68 years of age, were held Monday, February 22, at 2 p.m. from the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Joe T. Sudduth in charge of the services. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Earl Cain, Ralph Burress, Shelby Chandler, Linnie Coppock, Raymond Thompson, and Lynwood Mitchell. Mrs. Burress, daughter of the late Joseph Hallow Reynolds and Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds, was born September 29, 1885 in Carroll County, Missouri. She died Saturday morning, February 20 at 7:45 a.m. at her home on Meader Street, following a heart attack. She professed faith in Christ at an early age in life and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She united in marriage to George Patrick Burress on October 10, 1906, who preceded her in death on September 3, 1949. To this union six sons and five daughters were born. Surviving are: Mrs. Clay Livesay, Mrs. Clarice Morrison, and Pat Burress, all of Campbellsville; Mrs. Virgil Peterson of St. Albans, N. Y.; Mrs. William E. Payne of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Arthur Coate of Piqua, Ohio; Bassett and Clyde R. Burress Jr., U. S. Navy, Oak Harbor, Washington. Besides her children, Mrs. Burress is survived by one sister and four brothers, Mrs. J. W. Nelson of Mercer, Missouri; Wilmer Reynolds of St. Louis, Mo.; and Luther Reynolds of Adair County. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many relatives and friends.

Correction Made In Burress Obituary
Last week's issue of The News-Journal carried an obituary of Mrs. Mattie Burress in which several names were omitted. Therefore, a list of Mrs. Burress' survivors is being reprinted. Survivors include five daughters and five sons: Mrs. Clay Livesay, Mrs. Clarice Morrison and Robert "Pat" Burress, all of Campbellsville; Mrs. Virgil Peterson of St. Albans, N. Y.; Mrs. William E. Payne of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Arthur Coate of Piqua, Ohio; Bassett and Clyde R. Burress of Louisville; Joe Burress of Scottsburg, Ind.; and George P. Burress, Jr., U. S. Navy, Oak Harbor, Washington. Besides her children, she is survived by one sister and four brothers, Mrs. J. W.
