FRANKLIN Ludy Ellen Bivin, 93, of Franklin died at 1:36 a.m. Jan. 19, 2000, at Franklin-Simpson Memorial Hospital.The Canmer native was a homemaker, a member of Franklin First Baptist Church, The Ella Hoy Goodnight Music Club, Franklin Country Club, The Homemakers Club and Duplicate Bridge Club and was a Kentucky Colonel. She was a daughter of the late Jerry Reynolds and Alice Renfro Reynolds and wife of the late Lawrence Bivin.Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the charity of ones choice.Survivors include a son, Leslie Lawrence Bivin Jr. of Louisville; a daughter, Betty Carol Bivin of Louisville; a sister, Vera Hockensmith of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
